Season 1
Claire Stockwell (Isabella Noelle) is a feisty defense attorney who thinks nothing of putting her career on the line as she tackles high-risk and often unpopular cases. Claire and her law professor husband Andrew (Stephen Amell) have settled in Los Angeles, hoping to distance themselves from the still-unsolved disappearance of their young son Charlie (August Maturo). Ironically, however, Claire's determination to win justice for her clients only drives home the fact that she and Andrew have won no such justice for themselves. Further complicating things, Claire enters in a clandestine affair with rookie police officer Elliott Patridge (Clinton Reeves). Claire provides financial stability for her brother Jake (Colton Haynes), a slacker who often ends up on the wrong side of the law. Claire's colleagues include Dean Farrow (Colin Donnell), an attorney who unfairly was forced out of his job with the local district attorney's office after facing down his corrupt boss, and associate Russell Jackson (David Ramsey), who often finds himself disagreeing with Claire.
