The Second Coming is the fourth studio album by Queen Sapphire. It was released on May 23, 2017, through Lollipop Records. Writing for the project began shortly following the release of Sapphire's last studio effort, Last Judgment (2015), with the beginning of the recording process commencing shortly after. The bulk of recording began following the launch of the Maniac WorldBall Tour. Much like her previous release, Queen Sapphire served as executive producer of the project, alongside record producer James Ford. In addition to Ford, Sapphire also reunited with Thursten Brötzmann, Killabeatz and Maxxhitz, all of whom she previously worked with on Last Judgment. In addition to this, she also experimented with other writers and producers for the project. The album primarily consists of the dance-pop music genre, while experimenting with other infusions of electronic, rock, and the rhythm and blues.
To date, two singles have been issued from The Second Coming. The titular track was serviced as the album's lead single on February 14, 2017. The song reached the number one position on all-three of the eligible Single Charts for each respective Nation. The album's second single, "Nahshon", was released on May 23, 2017.
